The release of the much anticipated PlayStation 3 firmware 3.0 was met with both technical issues and plain discontent. From the dynamic themes and the revamped friends list to the frequent freezing during Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, PS3 users had reason to be upset and Sony has answered to the cries for help.

Although not a required update, firmware update 3.01 went live not to long ago. Since this update unlike most does not sign the player out, it is up to the discretion of the player to update or not. While the cosmetic updates that caused much of the discontent towards 3.0 are still present, The Examiner has confirmed that the issues with the first Uncharted have been eradicated.
