Infinity Ward‘s Modern Warfare 2 is without a doubt riddled with glitches and hacks, users being at 10th prestige in the matter of 3 seconds says it all. The 1.08 version patch has been released, but the latest patch may not actually fix problems for the shooter but cause more issues.

The Modern Warfare 2 1.08 patch is now live on the PlayStation Network.

The list of fixes include:

Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
• Fix for “infinite care package” exploit.
• Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
• Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
• Improved player collision removing cases of getting into geometry and ‘elevators’.
• Fixes to prevent various XP hacks.

The patch is reportedly causing more issues for gamers as Robert Bowling tweeted:

However, we are aware of several users reporting freezes once connected to games. We are currently working with SONY to identify the source of this issue.
