Disgaea Infinite Gets Definite Release Date

February 1, 2010 Written by Kishen Patel

Ever since the most recent launch of Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero? for the PSP, Disgaea fans have anxiously been waiting for more Prinny. Fortunately, NIS America has quelled the anticipation for more Prinny with a new Disgaea outing dubbed Disgaea Infinite. However, this RPG spin-off is a not what the American RPG enthusiasts would expect from NIS America.

Almost a normality in Japan as of late, Disgaea Infinite is the first digital graphic novel from NIS America. According to the official announcement from the NIS website, Disgaea Infinite will be releasing May of this year:

“As you can tell, Disgaea Infinite is a spin off of the Disgaea series. However, unlike other Disgae titles, Disgaea Infinite is an Adventure Novel style game. BUT it still has the usual Disgaea humor and ridiculous story as always!”

But what does this spell for the beloved Prinny? Well, for the first time ever, players will be able to experience Disgaea with the Prinny as the main character:

“Finally, you can play with a Prinny as your main character in a Disgaea game! One day, Laharl was almost assassinated, and they comanded a Prinny to find this fool who tried to assassinate Laharl! Of course, the Prinny has no choice but to obey his orders. What could this helpless, useless vassel (according to Etna) do to figure out who the unsuccessful assassin was!?”

For a more in-depth look at the universe of Disgaea Infinite along with details on player interactions with the PSP graphic novel, fans will have to wait until the official website is launched. When this happens, PlayStation LifeStyle will keep you updated.
