Section 8 Dropping on PS3 This Spring

February 16, 2010 Written by Anthony Severino

Section 8 released last September for the Xbox 360 and Windows PCs, however the PS3 release was nowhere to be found. Recently a rep for the game told IGN that the game was still in the works for the PS3, but no release date or time frame was given. Today, it has been announced for a Spring release and developer TimeGate Studios are making it worth the wait for PS3 owners by including content not found on any other platform at retail.

This Spring, Section 8 will be available for download via the PlayStation Store. The PS3 version of the game will include 3 maps not included at retail on any other platform, for a total of 11 multiplayer maps at release. That’s not all, “Section 8 is the first title on the PS3 to include support for TimeGate Studios’ proprietary TGNServer technology, which allows gamers to host 32 player games from their home PC”.

No exact date was set, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated on any news regarding Section 8’s PS3 release.
