BioShock 2 to Receive First Multiplayer DLC

BioShock 2 was expected to start of the year with a bang and it has certainly done just that with it triumphing the charts as well as receiving a warm reception from critics. 2K Marin hopes to keep entertaining owners of the shooter by announcing the game’s first cluster of DLC.

The first of several planned DLC will be an online multiplayer based bundle named “Sinclair Solutions Test Pack”. The downloadable content is to be released soon, although no exact date was given by 2K Marin, and will cost $4.99 (£3.19).The content and screenshots follows:

  • Rank Increase to level 50 with Rank Rewards
  • New playable characters Louie McGraff and Oscar Calraca
  • 20 new trials
  • A third weapon upgrade for each weapon
  • Five additional masks

Also incoming is singe-player DLC which will come in the form of ‘extensions’.

In the coming months, 2K Games will also be publishing downloadable extensions of the single player experience that provide new insight into the world of Rapture. These packages will include more narrative, new tools and new challenges that extend the lore and fiction of the failed Utopia under the sea.
