Polyphony Digital released a preview for the upcoming Gran Turismo 5 in the form of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue back in 2008. Many have considered Prologue a glorified Gran Turismo 5 demo which encompasses 10% of the content. However, according to Yamauchi, there will be very few resemblances.
Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi has told PSM3 magazine that Gran Turismo 5’s scale and diversity surpasses Prologue’s. Yamauchi stated the following:
Prologue is really only a prologue. Though the look and feel of Prologue and the full version will have uniformity, the full version will be totally different in terms of scale and diversity in comparison.
PlayStation owners have been busy killing time for 2 years since Gran Turismo 5: Prologue was released and it probably won’t be too long until we see the finished product.
