Gran Turismo 5 Still Hasn’t Reached the Finish Line

Gran Turismo, the epitome of racing simulators has become synonymous with the word delay. Polyphony Digital’s and the series’ creator said back in January that Gran Turismo 5 is 90% finished. Now that a few months have passed, that number is sure to have increased, with the game inching ever so closer to the finish line, right?

Wrong. Gran Turismo 5 still isn’t close to having the checkered flag waived on the development process, according to Kazunori Yamauchi. The Gran Turismo creator told Inside Line:

Gran Turismo 5 is about 90 percent finished. There are currently around 140 people working on the project.

Yamauchi stated back a few months ago that the racing simulator needed 10% to polish everything up. However, whilst fans may be frustrated that they’ve had to wait this long for the racer to arrive, the wait is surely worth it for what could very well be one of the most coveted and revered games in video game history.

Yamauchi will apparently be announcing the official Gran Turismo 5 release date soon. Soon. Haven’t we heard that before?
