Rockstar Trample Online Issues with Red Dead Renovation

Red Dead Redemption has hit harder than expected with wide critical-acclaim and a huge gamer following. Although the game has been commended for it’s level of polish, the multiplayer component has been plagued with disconnection issues and glitches. However, it looks like developer Rockstar have saddled up and have a patch coming soon.

Staff at Rockstar have posted a new article on their blog which confirms an upcoming update for the PlayStation 3 version of Red Dead Redemption. The update is said to include improvements to the online infrastructure of the title and should help improve stability of the multiplayer experience. As part of the update, Rockstar have also announced a bonus for all RDR owners during the summer:

Expert Hunter and Savvy Merchant outfits and related challenges later this summer for free. Please stay tuned for more details on that – as well as on the Outlaws to the End Co-Op Missions DLC Pack coming for free later this month.

The bonus DLC is to help make up for the issues many have been experiencing while playing online with Red Dead Redemption. While the problems have been reduced, invisibility glitches and lag is still prominent for many players. This update is slated for release by the end of the week, so keep an eye out for it the next day or 2.
