Deblob, the successful Wii game has been announced by THQ to be inĀ  development for multiple platforms. DeBlob was successful on the Wii so it’s no surprise that it’s coming to consoles. The new game will expand on the original in every way, adding 3D support, new moves, more friends and free-form painting activities.

EVP of Core Games has this to say:

We are thrilled to expand the world of de Blob into high-definition and 3D gaming with an entertaining and immersive experience that brings back the adventures of the fun-loving, free-spirited hero, EVP of core games Danny Bilson said.

During THQ’s fiscal third quarter conference, president and CEO Brian Farrell announced both de Blob and Saints Row will see new titles in the coming years.

Our de Blob franchise will be back again in fiscal 2011,

We successfully launched this highly-rated franchise in fiscal 2009 to broad, critical acclaim.

De Blob 2 is currently scheduled for a Spring 2011 release, expect some sort of trailer or gameplay from E3, which PlayStation LifeStyle will be covering live from the show floor.
