Fresh New Announced Def Jam Rapstar Tracks are Illmatic

Over a year ago, Konami announced one of the first games ever to be dedicated to the hip-hop scene with Def Jam Rapstar. With several popular artists included ranging from Dr. Dre to 2Pac, the game was a center of attention at E3. Now that more great tracks have been confirmed, the popularity of this upcoming title has the potential to really shake the hip-hop world.

Konami and 4mm Games have jointly announced that there will be more tracks and producers than originally anticipated. New freestyle artists include producers Danja, Nitti Beats, DJ Khalil, Just Blaze, and Cool & Dre. These new additions will mean those looking to create and upload their own tracks will have more options for what they’d like to rap to.

In addition, six new tracks have been confirmed which include the following:

  • It’s All About The Benjamins (Remix) – Diddy (Feat. The Notorious B.I.G., Lil’ Kim & The Lox)
  • You’re All I Need/I’ll Be There For You – Method Man (Feat. Mary J. Blige)
  • Hate Me Now – Nas (Feat. Diddy)
  • Hot In Herre – Nelly
  • Fight The Power – Public Enemy
  • 50/50 – Wiley

Def Jam Rapstar already has dozens of tracks already confirmed, and these new welcomed additions bring more variety and options. With a release date of October 5 2010 closing in, hopefully you’re ready to rap your socks off.
