A much requested feature from PlayStation Network users is changing their PSN ID. Last week, reports emerged that hackers had mentioned the demanded-feature would become available for PlayStation Plus members. Despite these reports, Sony has never publicly revealed any information of a possibility of changing one’s PSN ID. Well, now, Sony has shed some light on if we should look forward to the feature in the future.
Jeff Rubenstein, Social Media Manager for the US PlayStation Blog recently responded to a readers comment by saying:
“It’s an idea that’s been brought up multiple times, and it’s something I’d like to see as well. I don’t think there are any current plans to enact this, however. I’ll bring it up again, though.”
Although this offers only a glimmer of hope as to if the feature will ever make its way to PlayStation Network users, let’s hope Sony hears the cries from PlayStation Network users wanting to change their IDs and implements something in the future, even if it’s only through PlayStation Plus.
