Well this is a shock, isn’t it? Modern Warfare 2 has smashed the sales for Nintendo’s Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training and Infinity Ward’s controversial shooter has taken over to become the United Kingdom’s best-selling game off all time. Who doubted this to happen, though? Modern Warfare 2 has been sitting comfortably on the UK charts ever since its release back last November.
Modern Warfare 2 achieves this particular milestone – out of many milestones, let’s not forget – after just 41 weeks, which only three weeks saw the game slip outside the top 10 within the charts. Activision’s biggest entertainment launch in history takes over Brain Training – which took 36 months to overtake earlier record holder Rockstar’s GTA: San Andreas.
Modern Warfare 2 was released in November last year and has since never shown of sign of sales dipping.
