Gran Turismo 5 Hits Bad Weather

Gran Turismo 5 has been in production for a seemingly eternity of five years. Although the wait has been painful, Polyphony Digital has the quality and content to back the lengthy development cycle. In addition to the recently shown day/time cycle, Gran Turismo 5 has now been granted weather effects.

During the first day of Tokyo Game Show 2010, Polyphony Digital showed weather effects in Gran Turismo 5 for the first time ever. Effects include varied levels of rain and snow, and both looked incredibly lifelike when presented on the live stage in Tokyo, Japan. The combination of night and rain effects created one of the most realistic gaming presentations seen to date.
