Treyarch Confirms Zombies For Call of Duty: Black Ops

Speculation regarding a zombie mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops has been going on for a frustrating while now. However, the speculation ends today as developer Treyarch has confirmed zombies for Black Ops.

Treyarch revealed today that zombies will indeed be included in Call of Duty: Black Ops. The forthcoming shooter will include  — as Call of Duty: World at War did — a four-player co-op mode. The four updated co-op maps from World at War will be made available as part of the Black Ops’ Prestige and Hardened Editions, along with the premium edition Steelbook Case.

Treyarch Studio Head, Mark Lamia said:

“Zombies have been such a hit with our community that we were committed to bringing brand new zombie experiences to Call of Duty: Black Ops. We’ve taken extra special care to retain the essential ingredients of our Zombie game, and have also crafted a nice surprise for the fans.”

In addition to the zombie mode, it has also been announced players will be able to experience an all new co-op game in Call of Duty: Black Ops’ multiplayer with Combat Training. Up to six players can rank up in this multiplayer mode battling against enemy AI. Black Ops is set to be released on November 9th, 2010.
