EA Talks About Not Being Able to Talk About PSP2

When it comes to new gaming hardware, the device is only as great as the software that comes along with it. The titles, of course, are crafted by the developers who would only logically need to have the development kits before the platform hits the markets. Obviously, a second-generation PSP is going to come sooner or later, and according to one major development powerhouse, the device is already in existence.

According to the senior vice president of EA, Patrick Soderlund, the PSP2 hardware is in the developer’s hands. To no one’s surprise, though, he is unable to reveal anything about it. When asked about the potential existence of the device, the executive had this to say:

“Well, obviously as a developer we have had that–but I’m not allowed to talk about it…We can’t talk about it because of our relationship with Sony obviously, which is… That’s just the way it is.”

Looking back at all the previous evidence, including the unofficial reveal of the PlayStation Phone, it is clear that the new hardware is going to be announced soon. The question now is: when will it release and what features will it include? Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
