EA Announces a Trio of Digital Titles

EA is famous for publishing a wide range of titles, from Medal of Honor to Command & Conquer and a myriad of sports games. But the publishing giant can add three new indie titles to their resumé.

Since the establishment of EA Partners, EA has branched out into a wide variety of games. As part of this push, EA has announced that they will be publishing Warp, Gatling Gears, and The Fancy Pants Adventures on the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, and PC next year. Warp, from Trapdoor Studios, is a top-down stealth-action title that features “a sci-fi world with a distinctive art style, addicting levels, hazardous traps and challenging puzzles.” The title is currently slated for a Summer 2011 release.

Gatling Gears is the first title from Vanguard Games, a studio born from a merger with W! Games and the founders of Guerrilla Games. A spiritual successor to this year’s early Greed Corps, Gatling Gears is a twin-stick shooter featuring collapsing land, walker units and warring factions in the same . Other than a Spring 2011 release, no other details are really known.

Last, but certainly not least, is The Fancy Pants Adventures. Based on the hit Flash game, The Fancy Pants Adventures is Borne Games and Over the Top Production’s first foray into the realm of console gaming.  More than just a port of the original web-based title, the game will feature a new world, story, and modes designed specifically for the console audience.
