Games and Discounts Galore in Next Week’s Plus Update

While PlayStation Plus updates were a weekly affair back in the summer, it’s since been changed to a bi-weekly publishing schedule. While there are people who feel they’ve been getting shafted with lackluster service, get ready to fill up your queue next week.

In less than a week, PS Plus members should get ready to boot up your PlayStation 3 to get some great free games. Starting off the list is the frantic PlayStation Network breakout title Shatter. Described as “Arkanoid on steroids,” Shatter is a refreshing twist on an established genre and provides heart-pounding thrill with an nightclub-worthy soundtrack.

If you enjoyed Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee for the first time back on October 19th’s PS Plus update, or you played through the PSOne classic for the umpteenth time, then get ready for the next chapter in the Oddworld franchise, Abe’s Exoddus. This is all in preparation for the coming of the HD remake of Stranger’s Wrath hopefully hitting the PSN by the end of the year.

Last but certainly not least is the PS mini title Dynogems. It looks to be a Magical Drop clone, but that doesn’t sound like a bad thing to me.

If those three games aren’t enough to keep you busy, these 1/2 off deals might quench your PSN thirst. Landit Bandit, Hustle Kings, and Crash Bandicoot 2 are all receiving 50% sales off for the next two weeks starting on Tuesday.

Of course, if you’re already reading this site, you’re probably already glued to your PS3. Well…don’t plan on leaving it any time soon once this update hits next week. Make sure to grab all of the other deals going on right now before they are taken down when the new update goes live.
