Only a couple months ago it was announced that the popular stealth-action series Splinter Cell would be making its way to the PlayStation 3 in the form of an exclusive HD collection. Although it was originally known as the Splinter Cell Trilogy, its official name has now come to light.

According to Amazon, the once dubbed Splinter Cell Trilogy is going to be titled Splinter Cell Compilation. This exciting PlayStation 3 exclusive will include the original Splinter Cell in addition to Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory, all for the doorbusting price of $39.99.

This collection is still aimed for a release date of March 22nd, shortly after the ferocious attack of PS3 games including Mass Effect 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, and Killzone 3. If you’re a fan of these HD collections, be on the lookout for the Team ICO and Tomb Raider collections also coming out in 2011.
