Starhawk Readies for Deployment with New Build

Sony has a remarkable schedule of exclusives this year, and the PlayStation 3 isn’t done yet either. Lightbox Interactive, a team of developers who migrated from the Incognito Entertainment team, has publicly shared for months now that a big exclusive is in development. Fans have been calling the title Starhawk, and while the official name isn’t certain, we’ll likely know soon given the latest news of the game’s development progression.

In a recent tweet by Dylan Jobe, the president of Lightbox Interactive announced that his team’s unannounced title has progressed to a new build. The tweet states:

Build is done! we can finally go home!

The completion of the new build probably signifies the move to a new alpha version, meaning some major features of the game are nearing completion. Given the game’s timeline, chances are Sony is saving the announcement of Lightbox’s upcoming game until E3 2011. Although that’s a few months away, at least we have LittleBigPlanet 2, Killzone 3, inFAMOUS 2, and some awesome multiplatform releases to tide us over.
