Square Enix has released a new set of images from Crystal Dynamics reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise. Previously in the tagline for the game it was stated that Lara was “On her own but not alone.. “ and that she had one goal which was to survive. In the most recent images it’s clear that her life is in serious jeopardy.
Set against a backdrop of a brutal storm, the images show us Lara severely injured, exploring caves, witnessing a possible torture and ultimately finding herself near death. Square Enix has also included artwork that shows how Lara and the environments have evolved from concept to render. While the images don’t provide any details in to Lara’s origin, they are stunning to behold and give us an idea of the progress the Redwood City based studio’s progress.
