Two PS3 Titles Top Amazon Charts to Start the Year

As we’ve all been waiting for, Sony’s historic 2011 is now in full-motion. Starting today, LittleBigPlanet 2 and Mass Effect 2, both of which are AAA-caliber titles, are now available in stores. Well, at least they were available in stores, because if the Amazon bestseller list is an indication, then these titles might be selling like hotcakes for the next few weeks.

A quick trip to Amazon’s bestselling video games list shows that LittleBigPlanet 2 and Mass Effect 2 are making the impact that they rightfully deserve. LittleBigPlanet 2 is comfortably sitting at the premium #1 spot, while Mass Effect 2, a game that has been out for a year on two other platforms, is sitting at #4. Also, the high-value LittleBigPlanet 2 Collector’s Edition is sitting right behind at the #5 spot, and has remained on the top 20 list for well over a month now.

LittleBigPlanet 2 and Mass Effect 2 were each given the Amazon treatment yesterday as both now include a $20 promotional credit toward a future game purchase, which is likely the reason for the sales spike. Will you be buying either or both of these precious games? Let us know in the comments section below!
