Valve Refuses to Comment on Half-Life 2: Episode 3

Despite the last game released in the Half-Life franchise was three and a half years ago, developer Valve are still not commenting on the status of Half Life 2: Episode 3 at all.

A conference call, organized by News, was conducted with Valve’s Software writer Chet Faliszek as well as the company’s fellow writers Erik Wolpaw and Jay Pinkerton to discuss Portal 2. However, the site thought it would try its luck and ask about Half Life 2: Episode 3. Here’s how the conversation went down:

When is Half-Life 2: Episode 3 coming out?

“We’re not prepared to talk about that at the moment.”

“Nice try!”

“It is a nice try!”

The site then asked the million dollar question: is it coming out; to which the Valve writers joked:
“What, huh?”

“We can’t hear you.”

“You’re breaking up.”

Then, Faliszek stated that Gordon freeman is going to be G-Man in the future, who is the grandfather of Alyx and then teased millions of fans with:

“Sure it was a joke — OR WAS IT!?!?!”

Would you like to see Valve announce Half Life 2: Episode 3 at E3 or is it just too overdue that you’d only be satisfied with a full sequel? Either way, share your thoughts via the comment section below.
