After Dark Souls‘ announcement, many assumed that the game was a direct sequel to From Software’s Demon’s Souls. Now, although Dark Souls‘ developer has stated that the title is in no way a successor to the PS3 exclusive Demon’s Souls, these new screenshots for Dark Souls show the various similarities to the game.
A new batch of screenshots has been released for Dark Souls; showing how the game has taken inspiration from Demon’s Souls. Check out the shots below:
Dark Souls is currently scheduled for a release in Japan this year, and will most likely make its way into the West during the opening stages of 2012. The game’s world size will be 1.5 times the size of Demon’s Souls and will be releasing on both the PlayStation 3 as well as the Xbox 360.
