Capcom Aspires to Make DmC the Best That Dante Has Ever Seen

During the later parts of last year, Ninja Theory caught flak after revealing some information regarding their upcoming title, DmC. A major portion of the complaints surrounded the fact that Dante, the legendary main character of the series, underwent some major changes, and the ‘westernization’ of the series didn’t help either. While fans of Devil May Cry and its sufficiently explosive gameplay may feel out of their element, Ninja Theory is confident that they have a big title on their hands.

Just how good is DmC going to be? Head of Marketing at Capcom, Stuart Turner, believes that DmC will potentially become the best title in its highly-acclaimed series. He stated the following on the official Capcom Europe forums:

Combine all the best elements of Capcom and Ninja Theory you will have one of the greatest DMC titles ever created… and that people is what we’re working towards.

Later he added:

Lets be honest they [previous Devil May Cry titles] were great games (averageing in the low 80’s on metacritic) but not perfect. We’re now aiming to make the perfect DMC game that gets 90’s

Ninja Theory proved that they can produce memorable titles with Heavenly Sword, but can they really compete with the likes of Capcom’s very own development team? We’d love to hear what you think, so post your thoughts in the comments below!
