Hideo Kojima Promoted to VP of Konami Digital Entertainment

March 30, 2011 Written by Sebastian Moss

Konami Digital Entertainment has revealed that Metal Gear Solid father and gaming legend Hideo Kojima has been promoted to Vice President.

The new position will become official from April 1st, along with several other appointments and promotions. Pro Evolution Soccer Producer Shinji Enomoto has also been promoted to Vice President while Mineaki Yoshiba, Yasuyuki Yamaji and Kazuyuki Kisohara have been made a Director. Kazuhiko Uehara, a corporate officer for Konami, will replace Michihiro Ishizuka as CEO of Hudson Soft, after Konami’s complete takeover of the company. Additionally, Kazuhiko Nakanishi has been newly appointed to the company as the Standing Corporate Auditor.

It’s great to hear that such a talented individual will have a higher position at Konami, with his increased influence hopefully leading to more Metal Gear Solid and Zone of The Enders.
