Chances are you were majorly disappointed yesterday when Casey Hudson announced a delay for Mass Effect 3. If this is the first time you’ve heard about it, sorry for ruining your day. BioWare’s trilogy ending title was previously one of the most anticipated video games of the year, following in the successful footsteps of two blockbuster titles. Due to the delay, we’ll have to wait until early next year to finish the epic trilogy, but we can only hope that it doesn’t fall victim to some of the delay contagion we’ve been seeing lately.

To help relieve (or possibly make worse) a small portion of the pain caused by Mass Effect 3‘s delay, we have some brand shooting new gameplay screenshots. All images below are from in-game, and as usual, you can expect the visuals to improve as the title inches toward completion.

In case you didn’t hear, Mass Effect 3 is going to be more challenging than its predecessors. This along with some other information about the game suggests that BioWare is planning to break a few trends for the sake of ending the fan favorite series with a bang.
