Honest Hearts Set Aflame In Fallout DLC Trailer

The second DLC pack for Fallout: New Vegas, entitled Honest Hearts, is on the way soon, and a new trailer gives us our first good look at it.

We recently reported on the announcement of the next three DLC packs planned for Fallout: New Vegas. The first of these (which is actually the second DLC pack) is Honest Hearts, which has us leaving Nevada for a bit to head over to Utah. There awaits Zion National Park, which is mostly unspoiled, providing a different environment than most wasteland travelers are used to. Trees can be spotted dotting the land, and even grass from time to time! Unfortunately for the courier, the hearts of men don’t remain as unspoiled as the land, and raiders ambush the caravan on the way to Zion. While attempting to escape, you’ll become caught up in a conflict between a New Canaanite missionary and the mysterious Burned Man, and warring tribes as well. A new trailer sets us up with a few shots of the new area, while being narrated by the mysterious Burned Man.

Bethesda also states that we can expect the following in the new release:

  • New Terrain: Navigate the highs and lows of the steep canyon walls, caves, riverbeds, waterfalls and explore the lush landscapes and rugged terrain in beautiful and sprawling Zion Canyon.
  • New Enemies: From the deadly Yao Guai and exotically lethal Greek Geckos to new hostile tribals, Zion Canyon is as dangerous as it is beautiful.

  • New Perks and Weapons: Survive the wild with Tribal Wisdom or exact increased damage with Eye for Eye. Honest Hearts offers a host of new perks and weapons including the .45 Auto Pistol, .45 Auto Submachine Gun, the Compliance Regular, Fire Bombs, War Clubs, and Yao Guai Gauntlets.

The new pack is being planned for release on May 17th for all platforms. Of course, if the PlayStation Network isn’t back up by then, it won’t be out for us, but expect to see it as soon as possible after the network is rebooted. Two more packs still await afterward too, so keep your survival skills in tune, and your wallets ready. Will you be making the journey to Zion in the coming weeks?
