Duke Nukem Forever Skips the BS and Goes Gold

Today marks a historic event in the gaming industry. After over a decade of being in development, hope being vanquished in the process, Gearbox Software has announced that Duke Nukem Forever has “gone gold”. Yes, the vaporware that fell off the radar until its surprising re-announcement in 2010 is finished in entirety, and is on schedule to release next month.

Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K Games, stated the following in regards to this almost unbelievable announcement:

Duke Nukem Forever is the game that was once thought to be unshippable, and yet here we are, on the precipice of history.

Today marks an amazing day in the annals of gaming lore, the day where the legend of Duke Nukem Forever is finally complete and it takes that final step towards becoming a reality.

Duke Nukem Forever was recently delayed from early March into June, which made it appear to many that the game was doomed to non-existence. Now it appears to be on schedule for its first time ever, and you’ll be able to play it on June 14th.
