The Secret of Monkey Island might have come out over 20 years ago, but that doesn’t refrain its legacy from ticking. In the past couple years we’ve seen HD remakes of the first two titles that started it all, and both threw gamers back to the 90s where gaming was taking off and nobody could stop it. Now these two classic titles will be bundled into one swashbucklin’ package.
LucasArts has just announced a classic bundle like no other which will be called the Monkey Island Special Edition Collection. The package will include special editions versions of The Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s revenge. Both of these acclaimed adventure titles were released on the PlayStation Store not too long ago, but the collection will introduce both at a reasonable price point along with some additional bonus content such as concept art, soundtracks, and much more.
Currently only Europe has a release planned for Monkey Island Special Edition Collection, and it will arrive on September 9th of this year. Stay tuned for more.
