Catherine – Trophy Guide

Obelisk Conquered! (Bronze)Complete Stage 3 of Babel.

Babel mode is very similar to the stages in Story mode, but are completely randomized, so a guide is nearly impossible. You can select Obelisk in Babel mode from the main menu once you’ve unlocked it by achieving five Gold Prizes in Story mode on Normal or Hard.

This is a very tall and challenging level, so bring your A-game.

One Last Case (Bronze)Help Morgan clean up his mess.

Morgan is one of the people that visits the bar regularly. You’ll need to speak to him every night before he leaves, and also speak to him at the landings in-between stages, answering dialog choices with a helpful answer in the process. Avoid speaking to your friends and the twins next to them to make sure you don’t pass any needed time. Morgan is usually the last person to leave the bar, so you’ll want to speak to him last every night.

See here for which dialog options to choose when speaking to Morgan.

Past a Heap of Puzzles (Bronze)Beat Stage 64 of Rapunzel.

Rapunzel is a great mini-game found at the bar that is similar to the normal puzzle gameplay, but gives you a set amount of moves to complete each stage. There are a total of 64 increasingly difficult stages.

Use the video below as a guide, and all 64 stages are available through the uploader’s page.

Justin is one of the people that visits the bar regularly. You’ll need to speak to him every night before he leaves, and also speak to him at the landings in-between stages, answering dialog choices with a helpful answer in the process. Avoid speaking to your friends and the twins next to them to make sure you don’t pass any needed time. Justin is usually the second to last person to leave the bar, so you’ll want to speak to him after Daniel, Archie, and Todd.

See here for which dialog options to choose when speaking to Justin.

Sake Sensei (Bronze)Listen to all the sake sound bites.

Sake factoids are given after finishing a full ochoko of sake in the bar area. You can only listen to one factoid per night, so in order to unlock this trophy you’ll need to finish sake every night you visit the bar, except for the first since you can’t order anything on that night.

Sleepless Nights (Bronze)View the normal Cheater ending.

Complete the game with the morality bar to the left (chaos). You can achieve this by answering with negative answers when given the opportunity during dialog sequences. You’ll also need to answer the questions asked in the final chapter with the following:

During the bar sequences, Catherine and Katherine will send Vincent text messages which can be replied to. Whisky Wiseman (Bronze)Listen to all the whisky minutiae.

Whisky factoids are given after finishing a full glass of whisky. You can only listen to one factoid per night, so in order to unlock this trophy you’ll need to finish whicky every night you visit the bar, except for the first since you can’t order anything on that night.

You Don’t Have To Go Home… (Bronze)Stay in the bar until all the other customers left.

After passing enough time, Vincent will decide to walk to the door as someone asks him if he’s going home. If you say no to this question, and decide to stay at the bar longer, you’ll unlock this trophy.

Everyday Hero (Silver)Help everyone out of their predicaments.

There are five characters including Daniel, Archie, Todd, Justin, and Morgan who can be spoken to at the bar. In order to help each of them out, you need to speak to them at the bar and at the landings in-between puzzle stages. In order to unlock this trophy on one playthrough, you will need to create a routine to ensure that you speak to each of them before they leave on every night. The order in which they leave is the following:

Daniel > Archie/Todd > Justin > Morgan

If you speak to them in that order, while avoiding speaking to your friends and the twins that sit behind them, and speaking to them on the puzzle landings, you should save each of the characters and unlock this trophy. In addition, certain answers must be given during dialog sequences, and you can see how to reply on the Catherine‘s official Wiki here.

Please note that this is cumulative, so if you miss a few on your first playthrough, you’ll only need to save the others, and not everyone in a single game.

I Can Fly! (Silver)Jump on a Spring Block 3 times in a row. (Golden Playhouse)

Spring blocks are a bit difficult to find, but are easiest found by looking for a block with a small trampoline inside of it. To unlock this trophy, step on a spring block, get launched, and make sure you fall back down without grabbing any platforms. If you step on the spring block three times in a row, you’ll unlock this trophy.

Take Your Time (Silver)Move a Dark Block 10 times in a row. (Golden Playhouse)

Dark blocks are the blocks which are very difficult to move, and have a dark, caramel color to them. Find a block and move it 10 times in a row in any direction in order to unlock this trophy.

Taking on the Gods (Silver)Unlock Axis Mundi by earning all Gold Prizes on Normal or Hard.

Achieve Gold Prizes on all of the puzzle stages in Story mode, and you must be playing on Normal or Hard difficulty. To achieve a Gold Prize, you need to quickly climb and keep the multiplier going as long as you can while avoiding death completely. Once this is achieved, you can play the Axis Mundi stage in Babel mode by selecting it from the main menu.

True Freedom! (Silver)Conquer Stage 9.

Complete the ninth and final stage in Story mode. You will earn this trophy after defeating the stage’s boss, The Danuzid.

Dreams Come True (Gold)View all of the endings.

There are a total of eight endings which each have their own trophy in Catherine. These include: bad lover, normal lover, true lover, bad cheater, normal cheater, true cheater, normal freedom, and true freedom. If you save before the final stage of the game, you can manipulate your question answers and knock out 2-3 endings per play through. You’ll still need to complete the game three times for different alignments, but each alignment can develop several endings. See the above trophies for details on how to answer the final questions and get the endings of your choice.
