When Battlefield 3‘s full arsenal list was revealed last month, many were excited to see their favorite weapons make it into the biggest first-person shooter of the year. But how much work will it take to unlock everything you want? DICE has your answer.
DICE Senior Gameplay Designer, Alan Kertz, has shared just how long he thinks it’ll take the average person to unlock all weapons and equipment in BF3‘s expansive multiplayer environment. He posted the following on Twitter:
If you unlock every weapon, every gadget, and every unlock for every weapon… something like 100 hours.
100 hours to unlock everything isn’t much of a surprise for those who have played a Battlefield game in the past. Battlefield 2, which is arguably the most successful of the series, had dozens of ranks, the highest of which required 1440 hours of playtime to unlock. So 100 hours might seem like a lot, but once you get into the habit of playing online and destroying enemies, the time will fly.
