Itagaki Assures Gamers Devil’s Third isn’t Delayed, Just Not Ready for TGS

Dead or Alive creator Tomonobu Itagaki recently stepped away from his work with Team Ninja to begin new pursuits, namely an action game published by THQ called Devil’s Third. Fans of Itagaki’s work will recall that he made an announcement several months ago confirming the game’s presence at the Tokyo Game Show.

Surprisingly, Devil’s Third was no where to be seen, but Itagaki has shared the reasoning behind the game’s absence with Famitsu.

According to a report from Andriasang:

Itagaki admitted that he’d promised during E3 an update on Devil’s Third at TGS. However, during meetings with THQ earlier this month, they determined that it was too early to show the game. The game is not delayed, though.

With an expected release date of sometime in 2013, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that they game wasn’t ready to be shown at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. If Ikagaki still has nothing to show at next year’s TGS, then it may be a bit more reasonable to assume that the game will not make its 2013 release window.
