Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath Ready to Earn Moolah With HD Trailer

Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath has been undergoing a serious graphical overhaul for its PlayStation debut, and a new trailer shows off just how far it’s come.

If you’ve been a life long PlayStation fan you’ve probably only played the first few entries in the long running Oddworld franchise, since Munch’s Oddysee and Stranger’s Wrath have only been released on Xbox and PC – until now. Just Add Water is remastering both Stranger’s Wrath and Munch’s Oddysee while working closely with the original Oddworld founders Lorne Lanning and Sherry McKenna to ensure they stay true to the franchise, while bringing in well deserved improvements.

Besides remastering the game to run in 720p with improved textures and character models, Just Add Water is also improving dialogue and adding Move support to the game. Never before has Stranger’s Wrath looked so good, or managed to grace a Sony console, so check out the new trailer to see for yourself!

Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath was critically acclaimed when it originally released in 2005, and places players in the role of The Stranger, who is a mysterious bounty hunter on the quest for moolah. When his bounties lead him to a town unexpectedly in need of his help, he’ll need to use all the tools at his disposal to survive, which just happen to be live animals that can be fired out of his crossbow for various effects. Stranger’s Wrath and Munch’s Oddysee are both currently slated to release sometime this Fall for the PS3 and later for the PS Vita.
