Valve has announced that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will have two “Arsenal Modes” included in the game that are based on the very popular Counter-Stike: Source mod Gun Game. In this mod, players start with a basic pistol and must kill enemies to receive better weapons.
According to Valve, Arsenal: Arms Race and Arsenal: Demolition add “eight new maps and expand on the classic Counter-Strike gameplay.” Valve is even working directly with the original creators of the Gun Mode to create Arsenal Mode.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was first announced right before PAX Prime and will feature both new and old maps. For the PlayStation 3, it will release with support for the PlayStation Move, keyboard and mouse, and cross-platform play. The game is currently on pace to release early next year, with a beta possibly touching down later this year.
