Sony Goes Greek, Coming to A Campus Near You

In the past, Sony has taken advantage of promotions and contests to market their games and products. Before the Move launched, Sony set up demo kiosks in Japan and America so consumers could get their hands on the brand new technology. With the fall gaming season just ramping up, Sony is targeting that 18 to 24 demographic in the most likely place.

Sony is going to set up gaming kiosks on college campuses for the public to get their hands on upcoming games. ‘PlayStation Dorm Crashers’ will be active from Oct. 3rd to Nov 20th and will tour all across America and will be at colleges in Phoenix, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and more. Sony has been sending out emails that read:

The PlayStation Dorm Crahers Team is on the road hitting up the nation’s top colleges and universities. Packed with 6 PlayStation 3D display gaming kiosks featuring new and unreleased titles, we’re bringing non-stop entertainment to our fans including:

  • Brand new PlayStation® 3D Display- Specially enhanced for gaming, its SimulView™ technology puts you deeper in the game
  • The latest PS3™ 3D software titles, including unreleased games
  • Rivalry, showdowns, contests, prizing, and giveaways
  • And of course… food, drinks and music!

If your city isn’t on the list, which you can find, then you can submit a form to petition Sony to come party in your town. The Sony “parties” may not have any beer bongs or loose women, but who needs that when you have access to unreleased games?
