Devil May Cry HD Collection Announced [Update]

October 17, 2011 Written by Anthony Severino

The internet lit up a few months ago when rumors of a Devil May Cry HD Collection made rounds. We had a feeling it was true, especially considering how well these remastered HD collections are received by gamers. Now we have confirmation of its existence straight from the horse’s mouth.

On the 10th anniversary of the original Devil May Cry, Capcom has officially announced the Devil May Cry HD Collection for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The Devil May Cry HD Collection will feature Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Special Edition.

Thus far, only a release date for Europe has been announced — February 10, 2012 — but we expect a similar release date for North America. No word on pricing yet, either, so we’re not sure if Capcom will be charging a full $60 retail price tag, or follow in line with other HD collections for a $40 budget price tag.

[Update] It’s being pegged for Early 2012 for North America and a $39.99 price point.

We’ll update this article as more information arises.
