PS3 Version of Saints Row: The Third Missing Exclusive Content

November 15, 2011Written by Alex Osborn

Back at E3 2010, you may recall that THQ promised PlayStation users exclusive additional content to the over-the-top open world sandbox mayhem simulator that is Saints Row: The Third, but apparently they’ve gone back on their word.

According to Joystiq, all three versions of the game are exactly the same in terms of content, with the PS3 version offering nothing additional over its Xbox 360 and PC counterpart, but the PS3 version was supposed to include an additional multiplayer mode that highlighted the game’s “signature weapon”.

This however, isn’t the first time PlayStation owners have been stiffed out of promised content. Remember when EA promised that Battlefield 1943 would come packed in every PS3 copy of Battlefield 3? DICE did try to make amends by offering a DLC deal, so it will be interesting to see how THQ plans to make it up to their PS3 fanbase.

Regardless, Saints Row: The Third is a blast to play, so be sure to check out our review of the game.

great review tho
