Assassin’s Creed Fails to Top Modern Warfare 3 on UK Sales Charts

Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is a beast that can’t be toppled. After tearing apart records two weeks ago when it launched, it has gone on to hold the top spot in the UK sales charts for its second week as well.

The game saw an 87 percent drop in sales this past week, but that didn’t stop the juggernaut from maintaining the number one spot, forcing Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Revelations to settle for a respectable second place.

As one might expect, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Saint’s Row: The Third followed close behind, claiming the third and fourth positions. Check out the full list below.

  1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
  2. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations
  3. The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim
  4. Saints Row: The Third
  5. FIFA 12
  6. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
  7. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
  8. Battlefield 3
  9. Super Mario 3D Land
  10. Just Dance 3

You’ll notice that Battlefield 3 has slipped to eighth place, just below the recently released Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and the highly anticipated Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Competition has been fierce this holiday season, which is great for gamers as there is no shortage of fantastic games to play.
