If you’re itching to experience more of Lightning’s journey in Final Fantasy XIII-2, it looks like there will be plenty of content to keep you satisfied as Square has confirmed that the game will span upwards of 30 to 40 hours.

In the latest issue of Famitsu, the development team behind this sequel shared a few nuggets of info on the game, with the biggest bit surrounding the game’s length. While the first game was no slouch in terms quantity, many were left feeling shortchanged because of the game’s overly-linear structure. Let’s hope that the bulk of FFXIII-2‘s campaign contains a bit more of the content seen in the predecessor’s latter third.

In addition, the dev team confirmed that players will be able to reload their save to a point before the final boss after the completing the game. Also, those who have a save file of Final Fantasy XIII on their hard drive will get a free wallpaper.
