PlayStation Vita Ads Are Just As Confusing As First PS3 Ads

The PlayStation Vita is about three weeks away from being launched in Japan. Which means it’s time for a marketing campaign roll-out. PlayStation Vita ads have started airing in the region, and are just as strange as the original PS3 ads.

Well, maybe it’s not as weird as a crying baby or eggs rolling on the floor, but it still doesn’t really make much sense, if any. The video clip flashes the Vita’s release date, a man on a bicycle, and then the phrase ゲームの未来が変わる or “the future of games will change”. The tagline makes sense, but nothing else in the video does. See for yourself.

What do you think? Is this effective advertising? How should Sony promote the PlayStation Vita?
