Kinect, PS3 Top Amazon Black Friday Charts

November 25, 2011 Written by Sebastian Moss

On the biggest shopping day of the year, topping the charts of the biggest online retailer in the world can be an incredibly lucrative opportunity to sell your wares, which is why Sony must be pleased with the performance of the PS3 today.

Over on Amazon, the $199 Black Friday PS3 bundle with Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, LittleBigPlanet 2 and a PlayStation Plus 30-day subscription currently sits at no. 2 on the video game charts, one higher than the Xbox 360 4GB Console with Kinect. The PSP also sees a bump up to 31, but Nintendo’s Wii really shows market saturation and consumer apathy, resting at an embarrassing 282.

Microsoft probably won’t be too sad that the 360 is lower than the PS3, however, as the Kinect Sensor with Kinect Adventures and Gunstringer Token Code takes the number one spot of all on the video game charts, while the Move is only at number 18. Also in Microsoft’s favor is that 19 360 games are in the top 50, while there are only 12 PS3 games.

Possibly due to the recent sharpshooter deal, it’s also interesting to note that Resistance 3 has rocketed 3,700%, coming in at number 10 on the charts.

Sony’s success during Black Friday can be partly attributed to the fact that they were the only hardware manufacturer to produce a special Black Friday bundle that offers far more than the normal PS3 package for far less.
