Work Begins on International Version of Final Fantasy Type 0

Square Enix’s latest Final Fantasy title may get an international release according to Square Enix’s Ultimania guide for the game. In an included interview, director Hajima Tabata states that work is underway on an international version of the game. Unfortunately, the interview does not bring any further information regarding the North American or European release.

Final Fantasy 0 took several years to complete and is regarded as one of the last big titles for the PlayStation Portable. The game takes place in new world called Oriens which is divided in to four distinct nations. Fourteen different playable characters headline Type 0, all of whom are members of “Class 0”. Type 0 also brings a new battle system, similar to the system used in Parasite Eve: The Third Birthday, but with support for multiple characters.

Final Fantasy Type 0 was released in Japan on October 27th, 2011.
