Final Fantasy XIII-2 has had its share of bad feedback, but that hasn’t deterred Square Enix. While fans’ responses have been mixed, not only have pre-orders been substantial, but FFXIII-2‘s Collector’s Edition has nearly sold out.

Square Enix commented the following on their official Facebook wall:

‎(EU) UK stock for the Crystal Edition of Final Fantasy XIII is nearly sold out – but we’re expecting a few more copies to be made available today. We’ll post links as soon as we get them, so keep checking back.

The Crystal Edition does include some enticing goodies, such as the following:

  • 4-Disc FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 Original Soundtrack, with premium digipak packaging
  • Exclusive FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 T-Shirt from the SQUARE ENIX PRODUCTS range.
  • Artwork book “The Art of FINAL FANTASY XIII-2”, featuring artwork across the production
  • Composer Selected Soundtrack: CD with selection of music tracks from the game, specially chosen by the composers
  • Artwork book “The Art of FINAL FANTASY XIII-2”, featuring artwork across the production
  • 6 collectible postcards, featuring high quality CG artwork of main characters in the game
  • High Definition Lenticular Artprint, showing an iconic image of the Lightning character

At a price point of £79.99 it’s a heavy investment, but if you are interested, be warned – now is your last chance to pre-order the Crystal Edition before it inevitably sells out.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 has a scheduled release date of January 31st in North America, and February 3rd in Europe.
