Biggest Disappointment of 2011

PlayStation Move

2011 was a year in which the PlayStation Move could have made strides to cement itself as a must-own peripheral for the PlayStation 3. Unfortunately, when the dust settles and 2011 comes to a close, it’s not hard to see that the Move was the most disappointing thing for the year. If you look back to the original announcement, there was a mountain of possibilities available – and the tech to back it up – to add a new crowd to the PS3. And, while the Move has sold well, it’s been mostly relegated to nothing more than a side-dish for most of the AAA titles in Sony’s lineup. The few games released solely for the Move failed to leave much of an impression. Titles such as Medieval Moves and EyePet & Friends were less than impressive. A 2011 launch of the widely anticipated Sorcery might have helped, but this goes beyond a one game fix.
