In Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, Raccoon City is being torn apart by three factions: Umbrella Security Service (USS), US Spec Ops, and the combined might of zombies and bio-organic weapons. A new, CG cinematic trailer released today by Capcom shows the factions at war with one another.
The trailer opens with US Spec Ops (Tweed, Dee-Ay, Harley, Willow, Shona and Party Girl) arriving in Raccoon City in the aftermath of a zombie invasion. A member of the team tries to take a sample from a still “living” zombie. The USS, meanwhile, has a member of their team also taking samples while the rest are in hot pursuit of a member of the Raccoon City Police Department for some reason. Spec Ops hears the gunfire and runs to the source, believing it to be civilians. Inside a building, Spec Ops encounters a Licker, who is killed by a female member of the team. Next, the RPD member and a friend are on the run from the USS, who is firing at them from the rooftops. The friend is killed by an explosive and the RPD member is badly wounded, struggling to get to his feet, as he’s chased by the USS. The USS loses him and then sees his blood, before quickly being surrounded by zombies, who are gunned down effortlessly.
The RPD member is chased down again by the USS, who come face-to-face with the US Spec Ops team. The Spec Ops team asks the USS to identify themselves, the RPD member is gunned down by the USS, and the two factions engage in a gunfight. All kinds of chaos ensues, then a grenade is fired by the USS, which emits a zombie-attracting pheromone. The US Spec Ops team comes under attack from the zombies and the USS squad also guns them down as they move through the battle. The USS then realizes a Tyrant is coming, who attacks both sides. Both the USS and Spec Ops teams seem to be powerless to stop him. He picks up a car to toss at a Spec Ops member and that’s where the trailer ends.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is in development for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will release on March 20th in North America, with the PC version release to follow shortly afterwards.
