Secret Game Coming from Nomura and Co. at Square Enix

The famed game director and character designer Tetsuya Nomura has just let the cat out of the bag; Square Enix has “a secret team working on an unannounced title”.

In an interview with Famitsu, Nomura discussed the impending anniversaries of the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts series – which will be turning 25 and 10, respectively – as well as his upcoming 3DS game, Kingdom Hearts Dream, Drop, Distance.

Considering the fact that fans have been clamoring for Kingdom Hearts 3 ever since the second game’s release way back in 2006, one would think another trip to the Disney-Final Fantasy hybrid universe would be a no brainer. Though, there’s always the possibility that it’s an entirely new franchise, or dare I say, a Final Fantasy VII remake, but it looks like we’ll have to wait a while until we find out more, as Nomura has said that there’s but a “chance that some information about that will be announced this year too.”
