Commander Shepard Begins Taking Earth Back In New CG Mass Effect 3 Trailer

EA and BioWare have released the Mass Effect 3 trailer that aired during last night’s episode of the hit AMC television series, The Walking Dead.

The trailer shows a little girl in the middle of a field of sunflowers playing with a model ship. As she’s playing, the Reapers begin their deadly attack on Earth, with a great number of them converging downwards, blasting laser beams. The area is shown in ruins afterwards. A lone Reaper then descends on the area where the little girl is playing. Sometime later, Commander Shepard and Ashley Williams find the toy ship in the rubble of the area where the Reapers attacked. The two see husks coming towards them and a great military force is seen behind Shepard, followed by the camera showing that there are great numbers of husks as well. The forces begin clashing on the ground and ships fire upon the husks from the air. Shepard is then shown attacking husks with the Omniblade and then jumping towards two giant, hulking beasts with the Omniblade drawn. The trailer closes with an image of the US in flames and a message that says “Take Earth Back.” That text is followed by text telling people to download the demo. That text is followed by more text that says an extended cut of the trailer will be available tomorrow, to Like Mass Effect on Facebook, and (again) to download the demo.
