Rumor: Black Ops 2 Launching on November 12th

Activision has already announced that a new Call of Duty is set to launch by year’s end, but beyond that we still know very little. Recent rumors point to a sequel to 2010’s Black Ops, and if a recent posting on a French retail chain is accurate, then that is exactly what gamers will get this November.

The listing was immediately taken down, but Gamepur was able to snatch a screenshot of it on FNAC’s website before it was removed. You’ll notice in the image below that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is listed for  release on November 12th.

Activision has yet to confirm the legitimacy of this listing, so we have to treat this as nothing more than rumor for the time being. Though considering a November 12th release would stay in line with their typical Call of Duty launch window, we wouldn’t be surprised if this proves to be true.

The original Black Ops was far and away the best selling game of that year, so a Black Ops 2 from Treyarch this fall would be a no-brainer.
