Ninja Gaiden 3 DLC Being Released Today, New Difficulty Coming In April

Tecmo Koei has announced that downloadable content for Ninja Gaiden 3 is being released today and that more is coming in April.

The downloadable content that will be made available today as part of Ninja Pack 1 is: Metal Claws for multiplayer, Ninja Trials packs for Acolyte, Mentor, Leader, Master difficulties and additional customization items. The pack will be available for purchase for $9.99 or 800 Microsoft Points. The content is also available for purchase individually, but individual prices haven’t been specified.

Free downloadable content is available for Ninja Gaiden 3 as well: Falcon’s Talons (hand and feet claw weapons from the events of Ninja Gaiden 2, which can be used by Ryu Hayabusa in the story mode) as well as a new stage for Clan Battle and a higher level cap for online multiplayer. The DLC is free on both platforms and is available as a software update for PS3 and as free download “Ninja Lite Pack 1” on Xbox 360.

Finally, a new difficulty mode will be added to the game on April 24th: Ultimate Ninja Difficulty, which is said to challenge even the most advanced players. The new difficulty mode will remain free to download for one month.
