Facebook Update for Vita Brings New Features, Photo Uploading

April 16, 2012 Written by Alex Osborn

If you happen to enjoy social networking on the PlayStation Vita, there’s plenty to be excited about as the latest update for Facebook adds a handful of new features to the service, including the ability to upload photos.

This update, dubbed version 1.01, not only includes the added photo upload feature, it also provides users with the ability to uses Pages and tag photos that they’ve uploaded. Support for the Vita’s system languages has been included as well.

The patch will take up 2927KB of space and is available for download right now on the PlayStation Store.

What I can’t seem to figure out is why anyone would want to upload a photo taken with that crummy camera on the PlayStation Vita in the first place. With Facebook now on nearly every electronic device under the sun, is it really necessary that we see all of these added features? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
